The result was an XML-driven quiz that users from around the world could participate and challenge each other's knowledge. We also needed to create a presentation that was different each time the scientists took the quiz, so we created custom animations of the very sarcastic Professor Flip Top (complete with English accent) and randomized the question order.Once the scientist completes the quiz, the scientist can see how their score is tabulated, download the catalog, post their score, challenge a friend or retake the quiz. There were 3 phases to the quiz that coincided with a larger marketing initiative and users could track their progress through a global leaderboard, awarding the top 5 users from each region with a prize.
