We worked with Domus, a dynamic agency, different from most of the others you've probably experienced. In fact, maybe they should be called the un-agency. Together we created a new home page design for Dacor, a company who's goal is to redefine the modern kitchen, with an impressive array of industry firsts. Patented features abound throughout their full line of cooking appliances. Features like an infrared gas broiler inside an electric oven, a Pure Convection™ system for even heat distribution, a Butterfly Bake Element™ for an extraordinary traditional bake, and extra-large Dacor Greats™ that simplify cooking with large pots and pans.

what we did

From the beginning of the project, we worked closely with the Dacor team to create a new home page that worked hard on multiple levels to deliver multiple messages simultaneuosly. We accomplished this by going through a series of wireframes to plan out where the best places would be to house the content. This lead to a very organized site, but there was an important element missing... a little sizzle. Dacor sells high end appliances, so there site needed to educate as much as it needed to "wow" potential customers. We created an XML driven flash area that rotates different messages and can be changed on the fly by the client with new promotions or new product launches. The portal functionality of the page afforded us the opportunity to create other helpful tools like a product recommender, news feeds and expandable detail areas. Learn more about us.
